Convergence at Corridor 45|75 is Live!

I'm thrilled to announce that "CONVERGENCE", my first solo art exhibition, is opening this Saturday at the City of Ottawa's Corridor 45|75 Gallery.

Artist Statement: Sustainable Retreat

In the battle against the impacts of climate change, does it make sense to fight fire with fire? Or more specifically, given that perhaps technology got us into this mess, will more technology – such as wind and solar power, electric vehicles, new battery technology, carbon capture, and geo engineering – help us to get out of it?

Exhibition: Narrative Fallacy at SPAO Centre Gallery

For my latest artworks, Reclamation No 1 and Reclamation No 2, currently on exhibit at the SPAO Centre Gallery, I've imagined a future in which people are confined to a virtual world, i.e. the Metaverse, while Mother Nature slowly reclaims the Earth, thereby alleviating the impacts of climate change. Following this line of thinking, within a scant 100,000 years or so, CO2 levels would return to 'normal' and any signs of human civilization would be just about gone.

The exhibition runs until December 11th, 2022.

City of Ottawa 2022 Creation and Production Grant Award

I'm pleased to announce that I have been awarded a grant from the City of Ottawa's 2022 Creation and Production Fund for Professional Artists, for my project Sustainable Retreat. The fund supports local professional artists for the creation and production of new work or the completion of works in progress.

Exhibition: Holding Pattern at City Hall Art Gallery

One of my artworks purchased by the City of Ottawa for its 2021 Direct Purchase Program, Rooftop Resort, was included in the City's exhibition: Holding Pattern, at the City Hall Art Gallery from December 17, 2021 to March 4th, 2022.

Convergence Series Selected for Corridor 45/75

I am thrilled to announce that my series: Convergence has been selected for a solo exhibition at the City of Ottawa's Corridor 45/75 in 2023. Corridor 45/75 is one of three professional galleries managed by the City of Ottawa Public Art Program. It is a unique exhibition space located in a high-traffic underground light rail O-Train transit station located on the west concourse near the Rideau Centre entrance.
